Family Nutrition Program

Families and individuals are invited to learn how to select healthy food, stretch food resources, and improve health in this ongoing series held on the fourth Saturday of each month. Each presentation features a cooking experience and a door prize. Amanda Sarver, with the Virginia Cooperative Extension's Family Nutrition Program, is the presenter.

Historical Documents of Genealogical Interest
Local blog The Burgs published an article about Montgomery County's Cohabitation Register, which was recently rediscovered. The register has been indexed and posted in The Library of Virginia's Virginia Memory, one of several databases we provide. Genealogists and local historians may find the content interesting, especially as several of the registers are from Floyd and Montgomery Counties.

Teens, What is the worst book you've read, and what made it so bad? Submissions will be entered into a prize drawing at the end of the month.
Youths, What is the best book you've read? Fill out and decorate a cute bear-shaped form that will be added to our decorations!
